Welcome to the Penticton Duck Race! Join us for an exhilarating event as the Penticton Firefighters release a fleet of rubber ducks into the Penticton Channel, marking the start of an exciting race. The first three ducks to cross the finish line, along with the last duck, will claim cash prizes. Winners will be determined based on the duck numbers corresponding to each duck purchased; no random number generated (RNG) software will be utilized. Upon purchase, each duck will be assigned a unique duck number for identification.

All duck holders are welcome to attend the draw.

Winners will be posted online at https://duckrace.rafflenexus.com/winners on May 25, 2024.

  4. 4. Winner

Winner will be contacted by phone by the BC Professional Fire Fighter’s Burn Fund.

Winners consent to release of their names by licensee.

If a winning duck bears a minor's name, the prize will be lawfully delivered to the minor's parent, legal guardian or trustee.

No ducks will be purchased by the Board of Directors of the BC Professional Fire Fighter’s Burn Fund or employees involved with the conduct and management of the duck raffle.

  5. 5. Privacy

BC Professional Fire Fighter’s Burn Fund does not sell, rent or exchange any personal information collected from our supporters with any other organization or entity.

  6. 6. Complaints

Any complaints can be directed to the duck race administrators by emailing: info@burnfund.org. Administrators will review the complaint and take action if necessary.

  7. 7. Delay in Draw

Should a delay occur in the draw time on draw day, every effort will be made to make the draw as soon as possible. Should an alternate day need to be announced, after approval by BC Gaming, all duck purchasers will be notified via email.

  8. 8. Other

The last place duck, defined as the last duck to cross the finish line within one hour from the start time of the race, is subject to special considerations. This time frame ensures that ducks potentially caught in reeds and grass are accounted for. Any duck considered to be "out of play" will include those entangled in weeds, grass, rocks, or other obstacles along the race path, or those interfered with by natural elements such as wildlife. Interference with ducks is strictly prohibited except by the designated Water Crew for the event.

If a duck becomes stuck during the race, race officials may make attempts to free it, but they will refrain from providing assistance that could confer an unfair advantage.

Owners of ducks participating in the race are not required to be present at the event to claim their prizes.

Any duck found to be tampered with or modified in any way to gain an advantage will be disqualified.

Owners found interfering with other ducks or the race in any manner will be disqualified.

In the event of disputes or disagreements regarding the race, decisions made by race officials will be deemed final.

Please email our team at info@burnfund.org should you require a refund for any duck purchases or would like to issue a complaint, and we would be happy to assist you.
